Davao Oriental’s Mt. Hamiguitan Vies for Hiyas ng Turismo

DAVAO ORIENTAL — Awed by its distinct tourism site which is the Pygmy Forest in Mt. Hamigutan, the municipality of San Isidro is destined to bring honor to the province of Davao Oriental.

Just recently, Mt. Hamiguitan was nominated as Hiyas ng Turismo, an activity designed by the Department of Tourism to discover more the tourism potentials in the country.

This was revealed by Lyrna June Palma, the Provincial Tourism Officer in the Province of Davao Oriental, who also said that the nomination was made in the national level.

Im sure that the people of San Isidro are now ready to boost their local tourism, Ms. Palma said .
