DAVAO CITY — The partylist group Suara Bangsamoro denounced last week President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo for pushing the passage of the Anti-Terrorism Bill by using the recent Jolo bombing as justification. “The Anti-Terrorism Bill will never address the problem of terrorism; instead it will only curtail the rights of Filipino people from exercising their rights to free expression and freedom to assemble,” the party said. “The repressive characters under the provisions of the proposed bill would only lead to an extensive violation of Human rights that is in one way or another a form of State terrorism” it said.
