Contrary to the Arroyo administration’s claims that the peace process between the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front is progressing, the Moro group today lambasted the government for “offering nothing but rhetoric” in the negotiations. Mohagher Iqbal, the group’s chief negotiator, told luwaran.com that the Arroyo regime “is not solving the problem of the Bangsamoro people.” The talks in Kuala Lumpur broke down last week after both sides failed to come up with any consensus on the contentious issue of ancestral domain.
