Davao May Be Target of Christmas, New Year Attacks — Australia

Subscribe: Australia has warned its citizens against traveling to certain areas in the Philippines, particularly in Mindanao,”because of the very high threat of terrorist attack, including kidnapping, and related counter-terrorism operations.” The advisory, which is a re-issue of an earlier advisory, said “recent credible information indicates terrorists may be in the advanced stages of attack planning” but added that “the attacks could occur over the Christmas and New Year period. Davao City may be a particular target.”
