Five people were killed when a bomb exploded at around 6 tonight at the public market in General Santos City, according to an ABS-CBN report.
The explosion, the latest in a string of bombings in that city in the past few years, came amid warnings by foreign governments about possible terrorist attacks in Mindanao this week as the country hosts the 12th Asean Summit in Cebu. On Friday, a bomb exploded in nearby Cotabato City, wounding two people.
