Christy Isis “Ice” Achanzar, a 24-year-old woman from Davao City, makes history as the first Filipina to graduate at the prestigious US military school West Point Academy. “Joining the military had been a lifelong dream for the young woman who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in electronics and communications engineering from the University of the Immaculate Conception in Davao,” the Inquirer says in its profile of Achanzar.
