HCDC opens 250 slots for Maritime Education, offer employment

The Holy Cross of Davao College, Inc. (HCDC) Dean of the Maritime Education Program (MEP) Capt. Fernando Moriel said that the administration is up to sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Magsaysay Institute of Shipping, Inc (MIS)/ Fairmont Shipping and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines.

Capt. Moriel added that this partnership would assure HCDC maritime graduates a higher salary and financial security and would open better avenues for them to attain a more respectable position in the shipping world as captains or engineers.

The tie-up would also open up an opportunity for them to work with skilled professionals handling world class ships.

The hiring for 250 heads in on-going. This means that if a freshman passes the exams and requirements, she/he is assured of an international shipboard employment.

An advance equipment hands-on awaits instructors and students after the signing this month or in May.

Indeed, this HCDC linkage would steer the MEP towards greater heights.
