DAVAO CITY — At least nine city council candidates have been invited to the first of the series of political forums on April 16 (Monday) in line with the Davao City Green Vote 2007, the campaign of various schools, nongovernment organizations, peoples organizations and other civil-society groups aimed at making environment a political issue in the coming elections.
its always easy to prepare a bulky agenda regarding environmental action. my point is, we citizens can never know if we’re banking on the right “GREEN-headed candidates” unless we actually see them “walk their talk”. i think it’s better to know who among these candidates were actually genuine environmentalists even before they entered politics, rather than giving them the time of their lives talking non-sense on stage.
