Tue, 26 Aug 2008 14:38:01 +0000 http://davaotoday.com/2007/04/23/kabataan-denounces-fee-collection-at-tudaya-falls/#comment-97894 this payment collections are not only happening in tudaya it is also a problem elsewhere especially areas for mountaineering activities.for example mt.apo since 2003 local tourism and denr is collecting p500/climber,mountaineer.....the question is?what are they going to do with this payment that they collect?remember,when its climbing season.....mt.apo visitors are more more than 2000 people(approximately)x500 each year and every year the entrance fee are increasing....I mean EVERY YEAR......DENR and TOURISM told us that its for the rehabilitation program but evrytime time i climb the mountain i dont see any progress...........EACH year mt.apo is getting ugly and being destroyed especially its aesthetic aspect..........by this irresponsible mountaineers and by the broken promises of LGU,DENR.........TOURISM......sometimes its hard to DEFINE.... DENR as department........but an office of Destruction of Environment and Natural Resources..........Sometimes DOT is justify as Department of Terrorism.....ECO - Terrorism......... we do believe its and everyone of us especially all stakeholders of mt.apo(THE MOUNTAINEERS and other outdor enthusiast org...group)should look this issue and help and challenge/QUESTION authority that there is EXPLOITATION......IN TERMS OF ITS BEAUTY AND TO ITS VISITORS......CORRUPTION......IN PART OF THE PEOPLE CONTROLLING/SURROUNDING....
