Wednesday Is “Media in Black” Day
In observance of World Press Freedom Day on May 3, the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines (NUJP) Davao City Chapter will hold a Solidarity Night for Press Freedom, a gathering-cum-concert at the Kanto Bar, Matina Town Square, which will start at 7:30 in the evening.
We would like to invite you to the event.
We have prepared the program in such a way that colleagues can give solidarity messages as well as render performances (a song, poem, or skit) as our way of paying tribute to the cause of press freedom.
It is also our way of paying tribute to the men and women of the profession, especially colleagues who braved death or jail in the course of bringing stories the people need to know.
Again, please bring yourself and other colleagues in your media outlet to Kanto Bar on the evening of May 3. No registration is required. You may also prepare a number.
For more information, please contact Germelina at 09185306370 or Che at 09173687384 or me. Our email is nujpdavao@yahoo.com.
See you there!
Yours truly,
(sgd)
