ABS-CBN reporter Ricky Carandang gets death threat in Lanao

MANILA, Philippines — Ricky Carandang, a reporter for ABC-CBN television, has allegedly received death threats, presumably for his series of reports and exposes on alleged irregularities during the special elections in Lanao del Sur.

In its TV Patrol news program, the network said armed men have been looking for Carandang ever since he came out with his reports, the latest of which showed Comelec personnel — led by an official earlier linked to the “Hello Garci” scandal — bringing election returns inside the Maria Cristina Hotel in Iligan City.
