DAVAO CITY — Davao Light and Power Company will have several power interruptions on July 15 affecting power consumers in some parts of the south.

Brownouts set this Sunday are caused by the electric utility’s Puan Substation re-energization (after undergoing rehabilitation last year), repair and maintenance works near the Mintal public market, and to accommodate TransCo’s request for power source transfer as one its substations undergo preventive maintenance servicing.

Relative to the Puan activity, customers connected to Calinan feeder 1 will experience a short interruption from 6:00 AM to 6:15 AM. Areas to be affected are from Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes to Riverside, Biao, and Los Amigos up to crossing Ulas.

Bangkal feeder 3 will also be interrupted twice, from 6:00 AM to 6:15 AM and 7:15 to 7:45 AM. There will be no power at these times from crossing Ulas up to crossing Diversion road, Talomo, and from Yuhico to Ulas in Catalunan Pequeno.

For the Mintal works, the interruption will be from 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM. This will affect Ula up to Tacunan, Quarry, Angalan, Tugbok, Mintal, Bago Oshiro, San Gabriel, and from Yuhico to Mintal in Catalunan Pequeno. Others in this area include DCWD Tugbok, Vitarich, Purefoods, Army Camp, Bureau of Plants & Industry, Phil. Coconut Authority, Police Training Center, and SPDA.

Finally for TransCo’s request, Toril feeders 2 & 3 and Dumoy feeders 1, 2, & 3 will be out from 7:00 AM to 7:15 AM. Customers served by these lines are the entire Toril district, Dumoy, Bago Aplaya, Bago Gallera, and Puan. Toril 2 & 3, serving Toril district, will again be interrupted in the afternoon, from 5:00 PM to 5:15 PM, to return power back to its original source.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience of these service interruptions.
