Davao Doctors celebrates 38th anniversary with free clinic

davao city — Davao Doctors Hospital (DDH), in its vision to give best service to the community and consider the patients health, is celebrating its 38th anniversary to include a weeklong free clinic at the hospitals newly opened Out Patient Department.

This new venue will extend greater comfort for the patients, said Dr. Dominador Cabrera, Sr., DDH president and CEO during a press conference yesterday at DDH conference room.

Annually, DDH extends medical services to give maximum care to the patients. Each hospital department will be assigned one entire day to attend to the patients specific needs.

FREE Services are scheduled on DDH 38th year anniversary (July 2-6, 2007): July 2, Monday from 1:00pm 5:00pm free prenatal check-up, free pap smear and free wet sampling and diet counseling at the OB-Gynecology department;

July 3, Tuesday from 1-5pm Free Eye check-up, free refraction (40 years old and above); and free diet counseling to be held at the Ophthalmology department.

July 4, Wednesday from 7:00am to 9:00am free diabetes screening; free cholesterol screening; and free diet counseling at the Dietary department; and free adult medical consultations; free Ankle Brachial Index screening; and free wet sampling and diet counseling at the Internal Medicine department;

July 5, Thursday from 7am to 5pm free diabetes screening (7:00am 9:00am); free wet sampling and diet counseling (7am to 9am); free surgical consultations (9am to 12:00noon); and free simple excisions (1:00pm to 5:00pm) at the Surgery department; and

July 6, Friday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm free consultations for children; free BCG, DPT, Oral Polio, Measles immunization for kids less than 5 years old; and free wet sampling and diet counseling at the Pediatrics department.

A 6-storey Nursing Care building is the latest addition in the DDH growing community. This was built in response to President Arroyos call for private entities to provide good health for the citizenry.

The building will address the need of accommodating more patients and housing additional specialized sections to upgrade the hospitals ceaseless attention to high standards.

The Nursing Care building will have an additional 50 well-appointed rooms that will include a receiving salon, selective menu options, a mini-bar and internet connections with unlimited access time. (PIA XI Dispatch/rbpalacio)
