DAVAO CITY — Alchemy of Vision and Lights, a Davao based film and television production company, in tandem with Spikey Fruits Concepts, is bringing to the public a music TV show that aims to showcase original Davao music and talented local artists.

The half-hour weekly show, called Durian Jam, will be shown on Skycable Channel 28. The music show, which is slated to be shown on the third week of April, will feature live performances, music videos, features and other segments that will focus on happenings in Davao.

We put up this show to showcase Davao original music and the local musical artists behind them, said Paolo Claudio of Spikey Fruits Concepts.

Claudio is an avid supporter of Davao music being the proprietor of CL Audio Recording Studios, which is currently producing an album of different Davaoeo alternative rock bands.

Claudio is also the guitarist/vocalist of the indie rock group Lizard Chips whose music video of their single Man on the Road has been shown on MTV. The young lawyer is also involved in Song Inc., a nongovernment organization founded by a group of Davaoeo songwriters and supporters who advocate original Davao music.

Together Lizard Chips bandmate Wardy Puyod, the duo conceptualized a program that will cater to original Davao music. With one of their high school classmates, writer/publicist Rudolph Alama, they formed the group Spikey Fruits Concepts.

Claudio believed that Davao City has talented musicians, many of them waiting to be discovered. He said their show could discover exciting new artists and their original materials. He said the show will encompass all genres, be it rock, pop, hip-hop, or ethnic-inspired music.

We just need materials for the show, thats we are inviting all local musical artists to be part of our show. Just contact us so that we can feature you and your original materials. Claudio said.
