Today’s View: Bias Begets Arrogance Begets Irrationality

And when the real facts as they happened did not conform with the exactitude of his plans, his fascistic nature as a patronizing authority figure surfaced. He was afraid the media was bound to gather the real facts from the ground. And this gave vent to his arrogant posturing and unreasonable utterances.

Today’s View: What needs to be done

The tenacious alignment and adherence to a political entity should have been premised on a set of ideals and principles that provide firm basis for the party platform and concrete plans of action.  Each of the candidates in such group subscribes to these ideals and principles as his (her) personal commitment and as his (her) standard of conduct in governance.  It is the only enduring beacon that the party and its candidate must hold on to in steering their campaign to victory.

Today’s View: A Case of Molesting a Precious Jewel

It is regrettable that the US commits this show of disregard to our sovereign rights — a treatment that ill-deserves the little brown brother’s loyal deference to the Big Brother.  To be sure, it is another act of insensitivity — or is it a willful disrespect? — that smears the colors of the emblem of equality among nations and races around the globe. At worst, it smacks of superpower arrogance.

Today’s View: On the highway barricade

There’s a Filipino saying, “Ang sakit sa kalingkingan ay sakit ng buong katawan” (What ails the little finger ails the whole body).  And this, I think, is what exactly lies behind the unfolding of a highway drama, the barricades in Montevista, Compostela Valley last January 15.
