DAVAO CITY, Philippines—The city government of Tagum will culminate the National Flag Days on June 12 to mark the victory of Filipinos in the Battle of Alapan in Imus, Cavite.

 

The city government started the celebration on May 28 until June 12, coinciding the country’s celebration of the 119thPhilippine Independence Day, according to the city’s information office dispatch on Thursday.

 

Philippine flags were installed in the city’s major thoroughfares in the observance of the National Flag Days celebration through the initiative of Tagum City Historical and Cultural Commission.

 

Tagum’s local chief executive Allan Rellon called on the support and cooperation of Tagumenyos amidst this challenging time.

 

Meanwhile, the city government will culminate the National Flag Days with a fun run activity dubbed as “Kalayaan Run” which is also a fund-raising activity for the upcoming 6th ASEAN Scout Jamboree on November 27 to December 02 this year.  (davaotoday.com)
