UP Mindanao to host forum on federalism, Mindanao issues

DAVAO CITY, Philippines – A public forum about Mindanao issues and Federalism will be held on October 15, Saturday at the University of the Philippines Mindanao, Mintal, Davao City.

Rene Afurong Estremera, Public Relations Officer of UP Mindanao, said the objective of the forum is to contribute to the stream of discussion about federalism and Mindanao issues.”

“To provide a venue for discussion of these and other issues; and help to disseminate knowledge about federalism and other Mindanao issues such as conflict-resolution, poverty and inequality, environment, education, to the general public,” Estremera said.

Speakers of the said forum will be Dr. Amina Rasul-Bernardo, director of the Philippine Council for Islam and Decracy and Dr. Lito Monico Lorenzana, president of Centrist Democracy Political Institute.

The forum is open to the public will be held at the UP Mindanao administration building, 1-5pm. (davaotoday.com)
