WCOPA recruits world class talents in Davao

DAVAO CITY, Philippines – World Championship of Performing Arts Philippines Inc. has conducted a one-day audition at SM Ecoland last September 12 to look for world-class talents in Davao City.

The US-based WCOPA scouts talents from 70 countries yearly. WCOPA is a performing arts competition that welcomes all performing artists across the globe.

“WCOPA helps the Filipino talents to be recognized all over the world. Other countries sees the Filipinos form of art and are are praised on the international stage for producing great champions” said Dan Lina Assistant to the national director of WCOPA Philippines Incorporated.

WCOP is the global contest that catapulted Jed Madela, 4th Impact and Ralph Salazar into stardom.

The local government of Davao has expressed support to WCOPA since Davao City produced champions in the competition.

The goal for WCOPA’s team in the Philippines for 2019 is to claim back the trophy from the actors coming from Africa and Cayman Islands who won the over-all championship back in 2018.

The champions will receive medals and a chance to receive a $350 worth of scholarships in the US. (davaotoday.com)
