DAVAO CITY, Philippines – A clinic appointment app that was developed by a Davao-based startup company is set to be launched in Manila.

Al Sangkigay and Vic Cabatbat, co-founders of HiDok Incorporated, announced in a press briefing on Wednesday that their clinic appointment app HiDOK will be launched in Manila.

Sangkigay said they are in talks with a Manila business woman to launch HiDOK in Manila.

“We started here, and we want to revolutionize the entire Philippines in terms of healthcare system,” he said.

HiDOK is the first ever mobile application in the Philippines that allows the users to search for doctors in the application.

“There are challenges in clinic appointments. Patients wait for how many hours without knowing what time the doctor will actually come in,” Sangkigay said.

However, using the HiDok app, users can view the schedules of the doctors and doctors can send notifications on their estimated time of arrival.

Aside from the booking platform of the application, HiDOK also offers the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for the users’ convenient and quick access to their medical records.
