DAVAO CITY – The official of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office here announced on Thursday, February 11 that the first batch of compactor trucks for the city’s garbage has been delivered and is expected to lessen the cost of truck rentals of the city.

Madrazo told the members of the media here that the new compactors have a capacity of 14 to 16 cubic feet as compared to the dump trucks with a capacity of 12 to 14 cubic feet.

As of last year, the city collects about 460,286 cubic meters of garbage daily which prods the city to rent about 100 dump trucks for garbage collection.
