DAVAO CITY, Philippines – Seven examinees from two major schools in Davao topped the latest Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) in both secondary and elementary level.

Of the seven, three examinees were from the University of Mindanao (UM) in Davao City, two came from UM in Tagum City, Davao del Norte for the secondary level and two came from University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP) Obrero campus here for the elementary level.

Ranked number 1 for the secondary level was Rhoy Autentico Omega who got 93.8 percent score.

Brian Monpon Ba-An, also from UM-Davao City, got the second rank with a score of 92.60 percent, while Shamile Josephine Tampipi Arobo from UM-Davao City, Caryl James Faith Bangahon Abrenica and Ken Clyde Otig Longos, both from UM-Tagum City ranked seventh with 91.60 percent ratings.

Two LET passers from USEP in Davao City landed in top 10 for this year’s LET exam for elementary level.

Micca Vanessa Dy Pastelero ranked sixth with 87.20 percent score and Via Allona Abella Tandiama ranked ninth with 86.60 percent rating.

The 2017 LET was conducted last September by the Board of Professional Teachers of the Philippine Regulatory Commission (PRC).

The PRC said the 21,198 elementary level teachers out of 180,509 examinees or 26.33 percent and 49,626 secondary level teachers out of 107,020 examinees or 46.37 percent passed the latest LET. (davaotoday.com)
