The northern barangays Pampanga and Sasa will also experience either low water pressure to no water supply, while downtown and Matina areas will have no water for 24 hours starting 8:00 am of Saturday until 8:00 am on Sunday because of the tapping of the newly installed 1000mm diameter steel pipe to the existing 760 mm diameter and 600mm diameters cast iron pipe in Governor Generoso Bridge.

DCWD said there will be no water in Purok 45 in Matina and Ateneo de Davao University; Savina, Sitio Narra, Manggahan, St. John, Sto. The DCWD said the water interruptions will “improve water pressure in the city’s downtown and north areas served by Dumoy Water Supply System after the entire project is completed” and “will help reduce non-revenue water.”

It said water supply may be restored earlier “if work goes smoothly or later if unforeseen problems arise.” (davaotoday.com)
