iPhones can now be repaired in local PH centers

DAVAO CITY – An Apple service provider in the Philippines said iPhone users can now “have their phone units repaired locally and ready for claiming with 72 hours” with the launching of their Same Unit Repair (SUR) program.

Power Mac Center, said users of iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 5S and 5C who needs repair for their phone’s parts like the main camera, vibe motor, volume button shim, speaker module, SIM ejector arm, home button flex assembly, receiver module, speaker, rear camera, battery, display, and back cover will no longer wait for Service Replacement units from Apple Singapore which may take two weeks to a month.

The “iPhone SUR” rolls out on all Power Mac Center Apple Authorized Service Providers nationwide starting February 17.

“We at Power Mac Center are glad to be able to bring to Filipinos the convenience of having iPhone repair service made locally available,” said Power Mac Center Marketing Director Joey Alvarez.

Power Mac said in an emailed press release that before availing of the service program, all iPhone units will be subject to Unauthorized Modification Check to be conducted by Power Mac Center’s Mobile Device Engineer.

Power Mac assured that their repair personnel “have undergone extensive training sessions that equip them with the expertise to disassemble an iPhone using Apple-required and provided tools.”

“These Mobile Device Engineers are also mandated to pass the iOS Qualification Exam and adhere to the strictest standards set by Apple,” said Power Mac.

The iPhone SUR is free for all units that are within the standard one-year Apple warranty. Power Mac also welcomes units purchased also from other Apple Authorized Resellers. (davaotoday.com)
