PESO offers more programs to job seekers

DAVAO CITY – The city’s Public Employment Service Office will be offering more programs and services to all job seekers.

PESO Supervising Labor and Employment Officer, Philip Nidea said in a press conference on Thursday that they would accommodate online recruitment companies to gather a pool of potential job seekers aside from the regular jobs fair and the Special Program for Employment for Students.

“As a matter of fact there are several companies visited in our office in order to conduct hiring,” he said.

Nidea noted that the rate of job opportunities in the city has increased because of the influx of the investors coming in the city.

PESO is conducting job fairs periodically for job seekers, he added.

As of November 2016, PESO has posted a total of 102,911 job vacancy. Of the said total, 29,007 job seekers have been referred to various companies.  (davaotoday.com)
