ILIGAN CITY, Philippines – At least 11 bodies of six people were found in a Lanao del Norte village, Friday, December 22, a local official said.

Ryan Cabus, president of the Association in Tubod, Lanao del Norte, said the victims “drowned” in floodwaters brought by tropical storm Vinta (international name: Tembin).

Some two people were also injured in the flooding, said Cabus.

This comes after two people were reported dead in neighboring Lanao del Sur town on the same day.

Cabus said officials in the province continue to rescue other people as others were reportedly missing. (davaotoday.com)
