DAVAO CITY – Fire razed at least 40 houses in a coastal village here on Wednesday, February 17.

At 12:00 noon, the fire gobbled the houses in Barangay 23-C in Quezon Boulevard for almost two hours, with residents trying to salvage anything from their homes.

The densely-populated village, also known as Isla Verde, has been razed by fire countless of times. In April 2014, at least 5,000 houses were burned, leaving families homeless. (davaotoday.com)
