DAVAO CITY — In a partial and unofficial results of the votes cast here, the tandem of Presidential aspirant Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and Senator Alan Peter Cayetano got majority of the votes.

Based on the partial and unofficial results in the canvassing of the City Board of Canvassers, as of 8:15 pm the 80 percent of the total votes cast in Davao City showed Duterte got 498,665 votes.

Duterte was followed by Senator Grace Poe with 7,414 votes, former Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Manuel Roxas II with 6,418 votes, Vice President Jejomar Binay with 2,711 votes, Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago with 1,428 votes and Roy Señeres with 55 votes.

Meanwhile, Cayetano got 366,816 of the Vice Presidential votes. He was followed by Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. with 100,706, Camarines Sur Representative Maria Leonora Robredo with 25,623, Senator Francis Escudero with 14,035, Senator Gringo Honasan with 2487 and Senator Antonio Trillanes IV with 1,466 votes.

Davao City has 873,670 registered voters. Meanwhile Davao Region has a total of 2,659,704 registered voters. (With a report from Earl O. Condeza/davaotoday.com)
