PDEA arrests 2 suspected drug pushers in Davao del Norte

DAVAO DEL NORTE, Philippines — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Davao region conducted a buy-bust operation last November 4 that led to the arrest of two suspected drug pushers from various parts of this province.

Last Saturday, November 4, agents from PDEA’s Davao del Norte Provincial Drug Enforcement Office conducted a buy-bust operation at Purok 5, Barangay Southern Davao, Panabo City, Davao del Norte. It led to the arrest of Ganimae Gonzales Alimasag, 37, and Ricky Blanca Colita, 31.

Alimag is a resident of Panabo City, while Colita is from Kapalong, Davao del Norte.

PDEA said both were arrested for conspiring with each other in selling one sachet of methamphetamine hydrochloride commonly known as “shabu” worth Php 1,000.00 to PDEA Agent who acted as poseur buyer.

The anti-drug operatives recovered another one sachet of shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia and the Php 1,000.00 buy-bust marked money bill.

The Honda 125 XRM motor vehicle which was used in their illegal drug activities was also confiscated, the agency added.
Both suspects will be charged for violating Section 26 in relation to Section 5, Section 11 and Section 12, Article II of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”

Alimag and Colita are now detained at Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office XI detention facility in Davao City. (davaotoday.com)
