As the entire nation is set to celebrate the 119th Independence day on June 12, the Armed Forces of the Philippines has set it as deadline to liberate the besieged Marawi City from the ISIS-linked Maute group.
Hataman described the video showing how the alleged members of the Maute Group and Abu Sayyaf desecrated the church as “disturbing”.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Mayor commended Lt. Col. Nestor Mondia and his team in Task Force Davao “for always being alert, for their hard work, and for their unquestionable dedication to keep Davao City and the Dabawenyos safe from terrorists like the Maute brothers.”
