Protesters led by Kilusang Mayo Uno-Southern Mindanao had a brief altercation with the personnel of the Davao City Police Office when the former attempted to march the city’s main thoroughfares Monday, May 1. The authorities blocked one lane of Ponciano Street using its mobile patrol and insisted that march rallies and other road blockages which may hamper the free flow of traffic are prohibited as per a city ordinance.
