After bombings, Weena Bus tightens security

Oliver North, the former colonel in the US Army who figured prominently in the Iran-Contra scandal in the ’80s, recently reported for the Fox News Channel the hunt for terrorists in Sulu. “It was like hitting the jackpot in the global war on terrorism,” North said in his report, referring to the $10 million reward given to Filipinos who provided information that led to the deaths of Abu Sayyaf leader Khadaffy Janjalani and Abu Solaiman. US gives P490-million reward for Sayyaf deaths

The United States embassy in Manila today gave a $10 million (at least 450 million pesos) reward to four Filipinos who provided information that led to the deaths of Abu Sayyaf leaders Khadaffy Janjalani and Abu Sulaiman.
