DAVAO CITY — A 63-hectare agri-industrial economic zone will soon rise adjacent to Mindanao’s busiest international seaport.

The ANFLO Industrial Estate (AIE) on Monday held a groundbreaking ceremony in Panabo City for the economic zone which is located close to the Davao International Container Terminal.

“With this Anflo Industrial Estate, you can hire people as long as they have willing hands to work,” Lilia de Lima, Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) director said during the ceremony.

The said economic zone, which in 2015 gained a greenlight from PEZA and President Benigno Aquino, is owned by AIE of the Floirendo family through the Anflo Management and Investment Corporation (ANFLOCOR).

Located some 25 kilometers north of Davao City, the property would offer stable pwoer supply, clean water for processing, wide road networks and modern drainage system, said Ricardo Lagdameo, vice president of Damosa Land, Inc., a property development company of the ANFLOCOR.

Aside from the industrial estate, the ANFLOCOR also owns the Damosa IT Park here, which hosts information technology companies, and Abreeza Mall, through a joint venture with property giant Ayala Land, Inc.(davaotoday.com)
