Davao del Norte guv is Neda Mindanao officer

DAVAO CITY – Davao del Norte Governor Rodolfo del Rosario was elected chairperson of the National Economic and Development Authority (Neda) Board-Regional Development Committee (RDCom) for the Mindanao Area.

In a Philippine Information Agency dispatch, Del Rosario was unanimously voted by his counterparts from the Regional Development Councils of Mindanao and the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao – Regional Economic and Development Planning Board.

Del Rosario is currently the Regional Development Council (RDC-XI) chairman. He will serve as RDCom Mindanao Area until June 2016.

The RDCom Mindanao “formulates and monitors policy implementation, promotes equitable resource allocation and serves as clearinghouse for Mindanao development concerns to be elevated to the NEDA Board-RDCom.”

The RDCOm Mindanao Area agenda until 2016 is the improvement of health facilities and services, Mindanao’s role in the ASEAN Economic Community and water quality monitoring in Agusan River and Butuan Bay tributaries.

The other agenda were harmonizing local and national mining policies, land conversion and power issues, national physical framework plan or area spatial development frameworks, comprehensive and integrated infrastructure program, scaling-up of conflict sensitive resource and asset management program and challenges under the Bangsamoro Basic Law.
