Jun. 08, 2015

DAVAO CITY – A medical surgical mission for children and young adults with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities is scheduled from June 13-19 at the Brokenshire Memorial Hospital.

The mission is in partnership with the Operation Smile Philippines Foundation Incorporated (OSPFI) and the Army. A memorandum signing was held on Sunday to strengthen the groups’ partnership in conducting reconstructive surgery and related healthcare services.

OSPFI was established in 1988 as the Philippine partner foundation of Operation Smile, Inc., an international volunteer medical services organization based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, U.S.A,. to provide medical surgeries as well as to create learning opportunities for Filipino medical professionals for them to hone their skills.

Dr. Joselito Cembrano said that doctors of OSPFI are expert in reconstructive surgeries. He also encouraged the public to avail the free medical services.
