DAVAO CITY – A man was found dead on Friday with 24 stab wounds in a grassy portion of a highway in Nabunturan, Compostela Valley province.
The victim was identified as Maximo Largo Regala, 49, a driver and resident of Purok 6, Barangay Mainit, Nabunturan, Compostela Valley.
Regala had 24 stab wounds in different parts of his body with slash wounds on the front and back of his neck and his mouth was covered with a handkerchief.
Regala’s body was found beside the road in Purok 4, Barangay Ogao, Nabunturan.
In a report by Radyo ni Juan Tagum, Senior Police Officer 1 Maria Luisa Bautista said the victim showed signs of struggle.
Regala was last seen by his family 5:00 pm Wednesday while they filed a police blotter that he was missing last April 9.
