Power interruption up on July 1

DAVAO CITY – The Davao Light and Power Corporation (DLPC) on Monday announced that it will implement a 45-minute power interruption on July 1,Wednesday, from 12:00 midnight to 12:45 am which will affect customers in the southern part of its franchise.

Communication Officer Rossano Luga said that the scheduled service disruption “is necessary to isolate portion of Dumoy Feeder 1 to allow relocation of the electric poles along Toril near Gaisano Mall to facilitate the road widening project of the Department of Public Works and Highways.”

Luga said affected customers include those “in some parts of Bago Aplaya going to Toril proper up to Gaisano Mall of Toril. This includes areas of Dumoy, Lubogan, Alambre, Tungkalan, Taglono, Rosalina 1, Batulosa, Bangkas, Mulig and other nearby areas.”

DLPC said it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. “However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances,” it said. (davaotoday.com)
