Residents of  Sitio Quarry in Barangay Patungan, Maragondon, Cavite and Sitio Balakbakan in Barangay Laiya, San Juan City who are facing a demolition case want Justice Secretary Leila De Lima to intervene on the harassment case allegedly committed by private security guards in the contested area.

The residents brought fish nets as a symbol of their means of livelihood and trooped outside the Department of Justice office in Padre Faura, Manila on Wednesday.

Among their complaints against the security guards under Black Pretorian Security Agency are: 1) an attempted rape case of 3 women last December, 2) physical harassment against residents, and 3) illegal arrest of Alma Arpon last March 21. The private guards were hired by Maria Teresa Virata, Inc

In a report in Bulatlat.com, a certain Maria Teresa Virata claimed that she bought portions of land in Patungan in 2012, where a business venture with business tycoon, Henry Sy is to be constructed.
