DAVAO CITY – A soldier was killed and another one wounded in a clash against New People’s Army (NPA) in Davao Oriental province Thursday morning.
Eastern Mindanao Command’s (EMC) spokesperson Captain Alberto Caber said the clash happened at 11:00 am in Barangay Binondo, Baganga, Davao Oriental.
Caber said the wounded soldier is now on a stable condition. The Army official did not name the casualties.
Meanwhile, Caber said that soldiers recovered two M16 rifles from a still unidentified NPA guerrilla, whom they captured in Barangay Datu Davao, Laak, Compostela Valley Province at 6:20 am on Thursday. (davaotoday.com)
