DAVAO CITY –Workers group Kilusang Mayo Uno expressed their solid support to Bayan Muna Representative Neri Colmenares on his candidacy as a senator.
In a statement, KMU said that the Filipino workers and people need a “consistent fiscalizer” in the Senate.
“Colmenares has been a consistent fiscalizer of the government where he has stood with the people on the pork barrel scandal, government neglect and corruption in times of disaster, the Mamasapano operation, and other issues,” the group said.
“He has been the most vocal critic of increases in the prices of basic commodities and payments for public utilities,” KMU said.
The group said they vow to campaign for Colmemares for a seat in the Senate.(davaotoday.com)
