This is a very interesting news item.  It must be submitted to the widest expanse of the public for their own information and scrutiny.  It is a very revealing information.  It opens a window where through a clear vision of what really is the nature of our  military organization is laid bare before our hitherto unsuspecting minds.  So, here it is –

Eastern Mindanao Command clarifies statement: Maintains Lumads in UCCP Haran were Manipulated

The description of Haran Lumads as trafficked persons was the assessment of the AFPs Eastern Mindanao Command and not of the UN Special Rapporteur Chaloka Beyani.

The effect of the statement was not intentional and EastMinCom spokesperson Colonel Eduardo B Gubat INF (GSC) PA, humbly apologizes to UN Rapporteur Beyani for such oversight and for the inconvenience it has brought to the UN Rapporteur.

By reason of such statement, Lt. Gen. Aurelio B. Baladad, AFP, Commander of Eastern Mindanao Command, AFP has approved his resignation as spokesperson. However, the Eastern Mindanao Command maintains that Dr. Beyani in his exit briefing described that the Indigenous People in Haran are manipulated.

The Command takes the said observation constructively as guide in pursuing its mandate of protecting  the Indigenous Peoples from the manipulation of unscrupulous individuals and organizations and help alleviate their sufferings and achieve the self determination they are working for. EASTMINCOM / MCAG

So, the apology is not out of a contrite heart, but a hypocritical way of rationalizing its previous act and official statement that grossly misrepresented the UN Rapporteur’s assessment of the situation of the Lumads evacuees at Haran.  Again the AFP resorts to a trick of doublespeak — a   “bigay-bawi”. It’s a false gesture of apologizing.  And such actuation flows down from its resource in Malacanang.   Congrats to President Noynoy Aquino’s benign policy of pampering a military organization whose diabolic acts have outlived the previous administration’s rapacity in human rights violations.  His arrogant haciendero tongue has branched out to the flagrant lie-wiggling tongues of his military officers.

The world community of civilized nations would be glad to know and realize that – ”Oh, we have a member nation out there that pampers a military organization whose responsible officers speak with forked tongues”.

And thanks to AFP officers like  Lt. Col. Cabunoc and Col. Gubat.  Now, the public has become aware that the Palparan clones in the AFP are in a rampage.  They have made their existence clearly known.  They swagger around in our midst like real humans.   But these are psychopaths thrown up from the bottom caves of Hades. They are out to engage in monstrous forms of evil deeds—murders, massacres,  rapes, tortures and other unspeakable inhumanities —to the satisfaction of their perverted ethos. They come in human-like forms, but they are robotic monsters in the inner volutes and fissures of their brains.

But why?  Why is the AFP and the other armed security forces of the States molded with a demonic character such as that displayed in gracious fashion by a certain AFP Colonel?  Is he really evil?  Satanic?

Well, the bottomline is:  The AFP, the PNP and their subaltern creations— the paramilitary groups—are in the service of the ruling elite whose nature is founded on hypocrisy, deceit, exploitation and tyranny.   And who constitute the ruling elite?  These are the big comprador capitalists and big landlords serving as cohorts of the US monopoly capitalists.

This is the gladsome cabal that  truly rules our society—economically, politically and culturally.  The Philippine government through its three branches—the executive under Noynoy, the Judiciary  under the Supreme Court, and the Legislature which is Congress—are all obeisant to the interests of this ruling elite.

The government apparatus is just the façade.  And as such it must create a semblance of democratic governance by a system of  hypocrisy, lies and deception.  It is essentially a system of creative illusion of democracy.  It peddles issuances and policies of pretense—matuwid na daan,  respect for human rights,  anti-corruption reforms,  and all those economic programs–which redound only to the benefit of the ruling classes, and never trickle down—not a drop!—to the miserable masses of the people.  Most particularly to the Lumads!

Whenever Noynoy proclaims “matuwid na daan”, the corruption leaks out by way of PDAF and DAP.  Whenever he brags of human rights guarantees under the Constitution, his military minions violate with impunity the human rights of the masses.  Whenever he broadcasts economic growth according to statistic figures,  the masses writhe in misery, because it’s only the bank accounts of the ruling classes which enjoy tremendous growths to the tune of billions and trillions!

This is the very essence of the Philippine societal order—a system of  wide  wide  wide disparity between the ruling elite’s super luxury  vis-à-vis the extreme deprivation and misery of the masses.  This is the Status Quo on which the ruling classes happily thrive and  through which their scandalously enormous wealth flourish.

This is the Status Quo that the AFP, the PNP and all other security armed forces  must safeguard and maintain.  And how do they pursue  this “sacred”  task of   insuring the maintenance and flourish of the Status Quo?  By a fascistic implementation of the policies of the State.

Fascistic—meaning through the systematic employment of  brute armed force.  And the stark reality of this is nowhere more graphically demonstrated than what goes on in the countryside where  foreign monopoly-capitalists are undertaking mining exploration and  extraction of our country’s mineral resources.  But these imperialist economic interests come into a head with the interests of the masses, particularly the Lumads who oppose and resist the exploitative operations in their ancestral domain.

It is not surprising that the AFP, as guardians of the interests of the ruling classes, concentrate their forces in the Mindanao countryside where huge foreign mining operations proliferate.  And because these are opposed and resisted by the Lumads, the military must come into the succor of the large scale mining investors.

In the process of neutralizing the Lumads,  they perpetrate  flagrant  human rights abuses—harassment of the Lumads,  killing their leaders,  arming paramilitary contingents, massacres, rapes, and all  sorts of heinous crimes against  the  poor masses.  The over-all result is internal displacement of Lumad communities and populations.  Doesn’t this constitute systematic dispossession of the Lumads of their ancestral lands?

And when concerned citizens and progressive elements of society demand accountability for all these atrocities, the AFP personnel are quick to issue lies and denials and concoct various malicious schemes and deceptive devices, including violent assaults against the poor masses.  But these devices  boomerang on the military organization, because they are bound to be exposed undressed for what they are.

But does the military exhibit any act of contrition?  No!  They are utterly shameless! They are in their infinite role and business of “creatively inventing malevolent tactics and techniques” of  pursuing the policy of hypocrisy, deceit, exploitation and oppression and tyranny of the ruling classes.

And this lowly officer of the AFP,  whose careerist climb to the higher rank is the driving force of his perverted ethics, is expected to continue with his malevolent schemes.   The other conscienceless psychopaths in the AFP organization will only be too glad to goad him to more Palparanic crimes against the masses, more particularly the Lumads.

They are incapable of grasping the perverted  morality  whereon rests  the rationale of their  service in the military because their eyes are focused on the next higher rank in the  organization’s hierarchy.  So, however this careerist aspiration  may be attained  is of no consequence as long as it serves that selfish self-aggrandizing end.

Verily,  the Palparanic minds in the AFP faithfully abide by the following injunction from the devil’s lips  as a guiding principle: “Whatever thy hand findeth to do, do it with all your might, and you will be decorated  by the  ruling elite with the appropriate reward…”
