DAVAO CITY — The University of the Philippines in Mindanao announces that the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) is set on August 4-5, 2007 (Saturday and Sunday) at the UP in Mindanao, Mintal campus, Davao City.
The 5-hour examination covers areas in Language Proficiency, Reading Comprehension, Math and Science. The morning session starts at 6:30 A.M. while the afternoon session starts at 12:30 P.M. Applicants must be in the testing center at least 30 minutes before the exam time.
All interested prospective graduating high school students are advised to directly mail to the Office of Admissions, University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City the following requirements: (a) correctly and completely accomplished UPCAT Forms 1 and 2; (b) four 2″ x 2″ identical recent photographs taken within the last 6 months; (c) non-refundable application fee of P450.00; and (d) self-addressed stamped envelope.
UPCAT applicants with an annual gross income of P100,000.00 or less and/or are one of the top ten prospective graduates of public high schools as of the end of SY 2007-2008 are exempted from filing the application fee.
UPCAT forms can be photocopied and may be obtained from the UP in Mindanao campus at Mintal, Davao City and/or may be downloaded from the U.P. Website at www.upcat.edu.ph.
