DAVAO CITY – The City Engineers Office (CEO) is currently upgrading its procedures in issuing permits and certifications in its bid to systematize and speed up transactions.
Tristan Dwight Domingo, assistant city administrator, said the CEO is taking steps to materialize the plan on computerizing the entire process involved in issuing permits and certificates.
“I think the City Information Technology Center of the city government is currently finalizing the software to be used in the processing of permits.” Domingo said.
The computerization will cover the filing, payment and release of the permits.
“Hopefully, this will be fully implemented before the end of the second semester of this year,” Domingo said.
The CEO is one of the three offices cited by the Ombudsman for their notable service, along with the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs and City Agriculture Office.
Domingo likewise thanked the Ombudsman for recognizing the efforts of the three offices.
“We would like to thank the Ombudsman for giving commendation for the three offices. But we should not rest on our laurels but look into improving our services,” Domingo said. (davaotoday.com)
