DAVAO CITY – The Business Bureau here admitted that it lacked personnel to conduct effective monitoring of businesses.
Speaking at a press conference Thursday, Atty. Lawrence D. Bantiding, officer-in-charge of the Business Bureau said the office has only 70 personnel at the moment.
“For your information, we are only 70 personnel. Then, we have only eight inspectors, and from that eight, we need four of them in the office to work on some jobs that only they have the skill,” Bantiding said.
“I do not have the luxury of warm bodies to cover every business. But we are trying all our best to go to all establishments, if possible, to inspect,” he added.
