DAVAO CITY – The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas will be holding a Money Matters for Kids (MMK) Exhibit from July 7-17 at the BSP Davao regional office, which aims to help parents and educators in introducing the concept of money to kids in a fun and engaging way.
BSP’s Financial Consumer Protection Department will be bringing its mobile interactive MMK exhibit in Davao, which intends to teach children as young as three years old the value of saving.
BSP said the exhibit features hands-on tools that encourage play and study while exploring money-related themes like knowing the difference between wants and needs, and developing the habits of wise spending and saving for the future.
The MMK exhibit in Davao will be the 6th to be held in the county and the first time in Mindanao.
The exhibit experience is open to various elementary school pupils and walk-ins from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.
BSP said the MMK exhibit has a total reach of 23,469 children and adult exhibit viewers.
The opening of the exhibit is expected to be led by Assistant Governor Johnny Noe E. Ravalo of the BSP Supervision and Examination Sector. (PIA dispatch)
