DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Days before the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, the Davao Light and Power Company will implement a 15-minute power interruptions on October 29 and 31.
Rossano Luga, DLPC Communication Officer, said these power interruptions will be necessary to facilitate the Preventive Maintenance Servicing of the Gaisano Substation.
“To keep service disruptions at the barest minimum, load from the said substation will be temporarily transferred to Victoria Feeder 1 on October 29, from 10:00 p.m. to 10:15 p.m.,” a DLPC advisory on Thursday said.
Customers in some parts of Diversion Road and Downtown areas will be affected by the power interruption.
Specific areas that will be affected by these power interruptions are from Maa corner Diversion Road up to Buhangin underpass, including Davao Crocodile Park and Jade Valley.
Power consumers from El Bajada Hotel along J.P. Laurel Avenue up to Redemptorist Church, which includes Circumferential Road, Doña Vicenta Village, part of Marfori, and the entire areas of Bacaca and El Rio Subdivision will also be affected.
The DLPC advisory said it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier.
“However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances,” it said.
The normalization of load to its original set up will be on Oct. 31, from 6:00 to 6:15 a.m. (davaotoday.com)
