SC decision underscores gravity of human rights situation — Ladlad

Following is the statement of Bayan Muna Director Vicente Ladlad, one
of the co-accused in the Batasan 6 rebellion case, over the Supreme
Court decision:

STATEMENT OF VICENTE LADLAD ON THE SUPREME COURT
DECISION JUNKING THE REBELLION CASE AGAINST LEFTISTS

June 2, 2007

As one of the accused in the rebellion case filed by the Department of
Justice, I feel relieved by the Supreme Court decision ordering the
dismissal of the case. The decision underscores the gravity of human
rights violations being committed by the Arroyo government in carrying
out its plan to destroy the Left by the end of her term.
