Philippines: Labor groups seek senatoriables’ plans on unemployment

MANILA — The labor groups, Alliance of Progressive Labor (APL) and
Confederation of Independent Unions (CIU) challenge the senatorial
candidates to reveal plans to curb the unemployment problem as the
groups launch the series of “job interviews” of politicians aspiring
for the 12 seats in the Senate.

Court Martial Demanded for Philippines General

MANILA — Anakpawis Representative and political detainee Crispin Beltran today reiterated his call for court martial against Army Brig. Gen. Carlos Holganza and elements of the 101st Infantry Brigade which he commands. Holganza and soldiers of the 101 st IB are responsible for the brutal slay of nine-year old Grecil Buya in Compostela Valley.

?Tomorrow begins in the East,? trumpets the motto of this venerable
institution of learning. In his last moments in Bagumbayan, our national
hero Jose Rizal stared at tomorrow in the eye, veered his bullet-riddled
body to the right and fell lifeless on the ground ?face turned towards
the rising sun in the east. From the cradle to the grave, Rizal
consecrated his life to fight for the human rights of our people.
