Most female inmates in Davao facing drug cases, report says

The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) said most of the female inmates or persons deprived with liberty (PDL) at the Davao City Female Jail (DCFJ) are facing illegal drug cases, particularly in violation of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

More patients to be accommodated with new kidney institute at SPMC

The country's biggest government-owned hospital here, the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) is expected to accommodate more kidney patients when the Kidney Transplant Institute would be completed this year or next year, an official said.
