Davao farmers join national day of protest for genuine agrarian reform

Farmers from various organizations in Southern Mindanao staged a protest in front of the office of Department of Agrarian Reform in Region XI (DAR-XI) at Catalunan, Pequeño in this city to slam the government’s failure to enact a genuine agrarian reform program that will render justice to farmers who have long been chained by landlessness, tenancy and poverty.

Don’t force media to become witness in anti-drug ops – NUJP

The National Union of Journalists of the Philippines called for the repeal of section 21 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act which requires the presence of media as among three representatives in the inventory and documentation of confiscated drugs and paraphernalia in raids and apprehension.

NCCC mall, call center owners charged with reckless imprudence

The Inter-Agency Anti-Arson Task Force recommended the filing of criminal charges of reckless imprudence resulting to multiple homicide and multiple physical injuries against the owners of the NCCC mall and the American Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company SSI for last years mall fire which killed 38 call center workers.
