Duterte treks dictatorial path of FM – Left

The political left has accused President Rodrigo Duterte of leaning farther toward Martial Law, and said the President has made his idol the late strongman, Ferdinand Marcos, who declared martial rule in the 1970's.

Farmers groups to Duterte: Political will needed in resolving rice crisis

The National Federation of Peasant Women (Amihan) and rice watchdog Bantay Bigas emphasized that ‘political will’ is much more needed in solving the country’s rice crisis, calling the warning of President Rodrigo Duterte to raid rice warehouses, as ‘empty threats’.
